Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit adacity.ro, write to us or subscribe to our newsletter, and why we process it. Cookies are covered in detail in our Cookie Policy.

1. Who we are

The controller of your personal data is CAD DIGITAL TRENDS SRL, a company operating under the name ADACITY (“we”). It is registered with the Romanian Trade Register under no. J2017008639404, with tax ID (CUI) 37713445 and VAT number RO37713445. Our registered office is at Str. Dr. Iacob Felix nr. 63-69, Sector 1, București, and our office is at Premium Plaza, Str. Dr. Iacob Felix 63-69, et. 13, Sector 1, București.

We have not appointed a data protection officer (DPO), because the law doesn’t require us to. Send questions and requests about your personal data to contact@adacity.ro.

2. What data we process, why, and on what legal basis

Below you’ll find, for each activity, what data we use, for what purpose and on what legal basis under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”).

Contact form

When you write to us through the form on the Contact page, we receive your name and email address, which are required, and, if you fill them in, your phone number, company, project type, message and your answer about how you heard about us.

We use this data to reply and, if you ask, to prepare an offer. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, meaning steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in replying to business inquiries. Your answer about how you heard about us shows us which marketing channels work; that processing also relies on our legitimate interest.

Your message reaches our company mailbox through our email provider and stays there: we don’t copy it into a CRM or any other database. If you email us directly at contact@adacity.ro, we use the data in your message for the same purpose and on the same legal basis.

To stop automated submissions, the form has three safeguards: a spam-protection service, which checks your IP address and technical browser signals to tell people from bots; a limit on how many messages can be sent from the same IP address; and a hidden field (honeypot) that only bots fill in. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the site and our mailbox from abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Only if you have accepted advertising cookies: after a successful submission, we send a conversion event to one of the advertising platforms we use, so we can tell whether the inquiry came from one of our ads there. The event contains your IP address, your browser details (user agent) and, if present, the cookie that records the ad click. We send nothing you typed into the form. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Filling in the form is voluntary, but without a name and an email address we can’t reply.

Newsletter

On the Resources page you can subscribe to our newsletter with your email address. The address goes to the platform we use to send the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Every email contains an unsubscribe link; once you unsubscribe, we stop sending you the newsletter.

Hosting and running the site

The site is hosted by a cloud service provider. As with any website, the servers that deliver it receive your IP address and technical details of each request, such as the page requested, the date and time, or the browser type. This information is kept in technical logs for short periods.

For traffic statistics we also use a cookie-free solution. We only see aggregate figures, such as how many visits a page had. To count unique visitors, it uses a code derived from the request data (a hash), which is discarded after 24 hours.

Some of the site’s resources, such as its icons, load from external providers, so your browser connects to their servers, which receive your IP address.

The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in delivering and protecting the site and in seeing, in aggregate, how it is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Statistics and advertising, only with your consent

The tools below start only after you accept them in the cookie banner. Until then, they don’t load at all.

• statistics tools, to see how the site is used;
• measurement tools, to find out which ads bring us inquiries;
• remarketing tools, to show you our ads after your visit and to build audiences on the platforms we advertise on.

These tools use cookies and online identifiers; they receive your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 4(5) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004). You can withdraw consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the site footer or on the Cookie Policy page. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect processing carried out before.

Embedded content

The Contact page shows an interactive map, and one of our articles contains an embedded video. These elements load directly from the servers of the platforms that provide them when you open the page, so those platforms receive your IP address and browser details and may set their own cookies. What they do with this data is up to them, under their own privacy policies. We show these elements on the basis of our legitimate interest in showing you where to find us and in illustrating the article (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Consent management

The cookie banner is provided by a specialist consent-management service. Your choice is saved in a cookie, and the provider keeps a record of your consent (what you chose and when). The legal basis is our legal obligation to be able to demonstrate consent (Articles 7(1) and 6(1)(c) GDPR).

3. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some of the providers mentioned above may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), mainly in the United States. Where a provider is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the transfer relies on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for that framework. Otherwise, it relies on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. You can ask us at contact@adacity.ro for details of these safeguards.

4. Children, automated decisions and security

The site is aimed at companies. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you learn that a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

We don’t make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.

The site uses HTTPS, so data sent through the forms is encrypted in transit. Access to the messages we receive and to our provider accounts is restricted to authorized members of our team.

5. Changes

We update this policy when we change providers, the tools on the site or the way we use data, or when the law changes. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page. If a change requires your consent, we will ask for it before applying the change.
